About Us

The history of our blog and how it came to be…

Hello there and welcome to the Menecola’s blog spot on the web. After spending the last two years at family functions trying to keep everyone on both sides of our family up-to-date on what is happening with us, I figured the best way to make that a reality was to join the blogosphere with a spot of our own.

After pondering for a few days on a catchy name for our blog, I joking laughed to myself, headed over to godaddy.com and registered mytwoblondes.com. Short, memorable and to the point. The best sites are rooted in that philosophy. So here we are.

A bit about us:

Me

My name is Brian Menecola and I graduated from Lafayette College in 1999 with a double major in design and marketing. Since then I have had a few stops on my professional career at Penteledata, Aspen Technology and Adams Outdoor. I finally settled myself down at PPL Corp. based in Allentown, PA. I have been extremely happy in my current position and I will be coming up on my 6th anniversary at PPL. My role there has been primarily a creative director for all things ‘web’ and recently I have been taking some project management roles with some of our key projects for the coming year. I also began running my own new media and consultation business called M New Media about 5 years ago. After some maturation we are on the cusp of rebranding ourselves in a new body and soul. M New Media will become Hydraulic Studios.  We now have a rather large client base and wanted our brand to better represent our philosophy, which is Industrial Strength Brand Architects.

Besides my professional career, I live to spend time with ‘my two blondes’, Stacy and Bailey. The three of us stay extremely busy with the numerous projects we have going at all the time. One thing always leads to another, and another, and another…. you get the point.  No matter the project, I love working on our house. Check the site often as we always have something going and photos to share.

My get-away has always been fishing, specifically salmon and steelhead fishing in up-state New York. So much so, that I started a large web based community around 7 years ago dedicated to my passion called Salmoncrazy.com.  Since its inception it has grown astronomically and boasts close to 4500 members, with an average of over 30 million hits a month. Check it out, you may get the itch to give it a try during the fall run yourself.

Well…. on to the two blondes. :) I will let the love of my life, my wife Stacy, introduce herself below.
