It’s Done! And Not A Minute Too Soon.

Well last night we wrapped up the construction of what turned out to be the ‘Taj Mahal’ of sheds. It looks great and blends nicely with our existing house. Thanks goes to Stacy for being a stickler about using the original siding and shingles. A big thanks also goes out to Don, my dad Mike and Pap for their tireless help with getting this project complete. Without their help this would have never even been possible. As always I learned a lot and Stacy and I are extremely happy with the results. With Jason from Finishing Edge coming on Monday, our backyard will really begin to take shape. I will be posting photos of the whole patio process. we can’t wait…. and we are only 2 weeks from a much needed vacation… OBX 2007!

Patio Concept Finalized - Shed Almost Complete

We worked a tad over the weekend with my dad touching up the door work and Don finishing up the aluminum and siding work.

 We also met with Jason to finalize our patio plans. Which interestingly, change drastically once we put some new creative license to the idea. The new concept will allow for a more organic flow and add a nice flair to the ladnscdaping plans. All-in-all I am hoping we are the envy of the neighborhood with our new concept. Siding, Windows and Doors

With some help from my dad and father-in-law Don, we got the back and far side completed including siding and gutterwork. The much awaited ‘move’ into place didn’t go without some fuss. After using some 4 X 4 ‘levers’ and the help of the ‘little Mazda that could’ we ever-so delicately moved the shed into its final resting place. So now it finally looks like part of the house especially after my dad and I got some of the siding up on the left side yesterday.

This week should be filled with finishing up the siding and possibly the shingles (if we can get a cooler day).

Stacy and I are meeting with Jason from Finishing Edge on Saturday to finalize plans for the patio. We will keep you updated.
