South Beach… Been There, Done That.

  We just got back from our 5 day whirlwind jaunt to Hollywood Beach Florida. What a great time Stacy and I had. We got some downtime to enjoy the sights and the sounds of South Florida and better yet enjoy some time together in each other’s company. With our hectic schedules it was nice just to slow things down for a few days. Heck we didn’t even know we needed slowing down until we sat down for a causal lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and realized we were being too ‘East Coast’ and too damn uptight.

 Once we got into the southern swing of things all went well. We made a few stops downtown South Beach through the week. Stacy did some shopping for shoes of course and we got some pics at Miami Ink. We we going to do the club scene but the long lines kept us away. We did manage to spend a nice night out at Nikki Marina on Friday followed by a formal night out on Saturday at Timpano Italian Chop House in beautiful downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Awesome food, great atmosphere and live Jazz music. It was definetly something we need to do more of. We completed the evening by heading to Justin Timberlake’s bar & lounge in downtown Aventura, Florida called ‘Justin’s‘. it was a great time.

Our trip home wouldn’t have been complete without having met Clinton Portis of the Washington Redskins in the airport in Ft. Lauderdale.

it was an awesome vacation and we are looking forward to our next beach outing to Rivera Maya in Mexico in August.

OBX 2007 Is In the History Books!

Well, we are back from our now ‘annual’ outing with our great friends from Reading to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Our 7 bedroom house was in Duck this year and we couldn’t have had a better time. The heat was a bit excessive with a heat index of 127 on Wednesday! We spent a ton of time honing our Nintendo Wii skills in the gameroom/bar area and poolside. Of course the week wouldn’t be completewithout some drinking and some washers. Scott even busted out the floral print shirt complete with his new addition ‘Beer Nuts’ hat.

James and Jen had thier newborn Tyler along who was a pleasure to be around all week. Tim and Tiff kept the party going with enough ‘questionable’ Wii games and movies. Jason was of course showing off his pool of knowledge, while Allison showcased her Wii skills. Stacy and I had a great time with everyone and are happy that the Campbells started inviting us last year. We are already looking forward to 2008!
